december photo dump + 2021 reflection message // 2021 was definitely my rest & receive year

i’m thankful for the blessings & grace of God. i’m thankful that i learned how to BE vs constantly DO.

this year, even though i didn’t focus as much on business or pushing content, i moved into my highest paying 6figure job, moved into the place of my dreams, traveled in & out the country, prioritized my mental health & healing, & focused on the relationships that mattered most. there were definitely some lows but i’ve truly learned the art of trusting God’s flow.

i’ve learned so much this year that i really can’t even put into a caption. but, it’ll be put into action. i don’t have a vision board or long list of goals & plans for 2022. but, i do have the peace & faith to allow God to order my steps day by day. & if anything this year, i’ve learned that’s more than enough. ❤️

november photo dump + excerpts from my new favorite book on creating! ✨ november was all about being present, taking in the highs/lows of 2021, & setting intentions for the new year while also being okay with being uncomfortable with what’s unknown.

now, my 2022 starts today. for december, i encourage us all to start building the daily habits needed for our 2022 goals. also know it’s perfectly okay to go slow. it’s okay to not immediately do a 2022 vision board or one at all.

how can you be intentional & purposeful in your day to day? don’t waste time chasing others dreams, seasons, & timelines. embrace your own steady intentional moving over fast mindless hustle. ❤️

need a good read for the holiday week? this book is in my top 3 of all time! it’s a MUST READ for all creatives, content creators, creative entrepreneurs, writers, & professionals looking to prioritize their passions or just become more self aware!

@juliacameronlive links creativity & faith in ways i didn’t even know i needed! her morning pages & artist date practices are something anyone trying to walk out their purpose should apply to their daily/weekly routines!

this book really helped me break my writers block, fall in love with my passions again, all while healing certain parts of my childhood 😭. its healing. it’s practical. i can’t even put it in words. it just did what it needed to do!

definitely pick this up! it’s a staple i’ll keep rereading over & over! now i’m on to @juliacameronlive ‘s next book, “the right to write”

A Tuesday Thread ✨ // Understand that you may have a lot of assignments, but your purpose is what’s in your core. Your purpose is an inner calling that shows up consistently in the way you live, love, serve others, work, etc.

I love that I’m coming into my own as a writer, content creator, & entrepreneur.

Not creating out of fear, religion, or obligation because I’m a Christian…

But really being present with my current season of life & sharing what’s real to me in the moment.

I’m creating & operating from a place of integrity & responsibility…

While also creating from a space of authenticity & boldness. I don’t have to be perfect to be influential. & your likes don’t equate to my level of influence in real life.

& so I can create & work freely knowing that where I am in life, faith, & work is exactly where I’m supposed to be.

& that as I show up as my most authentic self, I’m able to help & serve so many because that’s why I was put on this earth… to give permission, equip, serve, & walk others through the in between.

The in between season of faith where you’re struggling to know & trust God…
The in between of your career & business as you’re walking into something new or expanding what is…
The transitions of life, the next round of edits in your rough draft, that’s where I serve best.

& that level of clarity, is what’s been grounding me because I understand what my true purpose is. It’s ever evolving & will include multiple assignments, but I know what’s in my core.

What’s in your core? Are you allowing societal & religious norms to dictate how you are called to show up in this world? Just because it’s a norm doesn’t make it normal. Be bold enough to challenge the norm & allow what’s in your core to transform the world around you. That in itself is why God created you.
